  • Drums & Rhythm is key

    Drums & Rhythm is key

I remember sitting in a drumming circle at Ozora Festival and just vibing with ~30 people playing a few rhythmic patterns simultaneously in endless loops. The energy was indescribably immersive. I felt recharged, fulfilled and dissolved in the crowd and the music at the same time. Another layer of the experience emerged when dancers joined in.
This new song is dedicated to this magical moment and aims to share the joy of drumming.

    New year – new song

When the night falls onto Paris, dreams, nightmares, old stories and myths emerge and we start hearing some Baroque melodies along with percussion instruments and rhythmic patterns from the former African colonies of France mixed up with today’s electronic elements.
The mandore is considered to be the French predecessor of the mandolin that plays the solo throughout almost the whole song like it would be a poem or a lullaby until the listener is drawn back to reality.

  • New original dub

    New original dub

I have been listening to a lot of reggae and dub music growing up, and also played in a few bands as a guitarist. The energy and vibe always carried me away. I love creating dub remixes of existing songs but doing an original is a different pleasure. Also, from a music history perspective it is very interesting that such a small country can shake up the industry and create such a unique sound! Blending some chopped vocals and dance music elements is elevating this song to the next level.

    New EP is available online!

The song symbolizes marching elephants as their feet hit the ground with such power that it shakes with every step. If one would imagine a video for the song, sometimes the camera would zoom out and we’d see other animals and the vast landscape as the sun goes down.  Heavy bass, groovy african percussions and a little bit of flute was blended nicely together to mix traditional drumming with modern electronics. One day this herd might catch you as well…
